This can be from any medium of art seeing as how it encompasses a lot of different genres. Personally My favorite is M.C Escher. I enjoy a lot of the work he has done and how you can stare at a lot of his work and see the whole picture in different ways from different angles.

Musically, I enjoy Eminem for his usage of lyrics. His lines aren't erudite material on a deeper level, but rather at face-value. They reach out and connect personally and emotionally with a lot of people. His song "Like Toy Soldiers" is one of my favorites.
